11"X14" GLASS PAINTS AND ENAMELS ON GLASS
I started painting when I was sixteen years old. I have been creating in one medium or another ever since. I went to Holy Trinity Catholic
grade school. It was a Lithuanian school. Hence my family name is Jonas (Pronounced yonus). I started using The name Jonas
to create a distinction from the John Beirs Studio which I founded in 1969.
John Beirs Studio was primarily involved in the design, construction,and installation of Stained glass windows (Article). In 1976
I moved to Phila.(CommissionsII travelled around for two years after selling my building on Race Street in 2005 I am
now back in Philadelphia .
I have work in numerous private collections throughout the USA.
